Qatar Announces 5-Year Residence Visa for Professional

 

Recently, Qatar unveiled a ground-breaking programme: a customised residency permit system designed to foster businesses and gifted people. This innovative programme aims to give foreign people a stable platform to live and work in Qatar by offering a five-year residence visa with the option for renewal.

The new residency permit programme, which is anticipated to be implemented soon, will provide eligibility under two different categories:

Talent Category:

1. In order to be considered, applicants must have the support of pertinent Qatari government officials who attest to their talent in one of the 13 authorised fields—which include the arts, entertainment, sports, education, development, science, and innovation.
2. Individuals seeking immigration to Qatar must either possess an offer of employment or an employment contract from a Qatari employer, or they must be able to prove they have the financial resources to support themselves for at least QAR 36,500.

Category: Entrepreneur

1. In order to be considered for investment in Qatar, qualified applicants must submit a thorough business plan that has been approved by recognised business incubators like the Qatar Science & Technology Park and Qatar Fintech Hub.
2. A minimum investment of QAR 250,000 must be met by the suggested investment.
